Chandu Chhada出生于印度（未分离前），现为巴基斯坦人，拥有良好的出身。其出生时，父母是富有的地主（虽然他的父亲是一个在收过高等教育的家庭中的从业律师），Chandu的曾外公是英属印度帝国时期卡拉奇最高法庭首批印度首席法官之一。
Chandu在孟买的Don Bosco高中接受了小学和中学教育，然后在建筑学院和J.J.建筑学院（城镇和城市规划）学习。在1966年，他带着各种殊荣毕业（专业为设计），在大学期间他的功课名列第二，在他所在的建筑学院中名列第一。
在经历了两年的酒店和商业设计领域中进一步实践训练和学习，他开始了他对远东的访问，以见识和学习远东的酒店。在1968年，他第一站来到了香港（本来他打算继续前往日本、新加坡、泰国以及马来西亚），但是香港成为了他的第一站和最后一站。他在一家酒店设计公司获得了他无法拒绝的工作机会（这是他最大的兴趣所在）。在1968年至1980年之间，他工作于这家经过国际化革新的公司。他从助理设计师干起，在辞职时（为了建立自己的公司）担任高级合伙人/主管，管理这家香港公司。1980年，他与他现在的合伙人Don Siembieda一起着手建立他自己的公司。该公司在香港有一家事务所，仅仅拥有两个项目——香港摄政（后来的四季，现在的洲际酒店）和悉尼摄政，今天这两家酒店都是位于世界最优秀的酒店之列。当然在此之后，该公司的许多项目都获得了国
际奖项。其它的事务所位于上海和南京（中国）。
值得指出的是，Chandu Chhada是已知的在个人职业生涯之中在超过100家国际酒店就职过的印度人。他以及他的公司所参与的获奖酒店作品包括香港摄政、悉尼摄政、孟买Oberoi、帝国、新德里 、喜马拉雅的祝福（现在被《旅行者》杂志评为世界最佳温泉圣地-2005年）、Kahala希尔顿、四季、纽约以及其它酒店。
现在，他的公司被评为世界领头的酒店设计公司之一，直到现在Chhada先生依然伏案于绘图板创造世界级豪华酒店。

Chandu Chhada was born in India (undivided), now Pakistan, with a silver spoon in his mouth.Born to parents who in their own standing were wealthy landlords (although his father was a practicing lawyer among a highly educated family), Chandu's great grandfather (Mother's side) was one of the first Indian Chief Justice of the Karachi High Court during British 'Raj.'Chandu had his primary and secondary education in Don Bosco High School in Bombay and subsequently at the Academy of Architecture and J. J. School of Architecture (Town and City planning). He graduated with Honours (Major in Design) and stood second in the university and first in his college of architecture in 1966.After two years of practical training and studying further on hotels and commercial design, he embarked on a visit to the Far East to see and study hotels of the Far East. In 1968, his first stop was Hong Kong (before he was to proceed to Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia) but Hong Kong became his first and "destination" stop. He was offered a job in a hotel designer's firm, (his keen interest) which he could not resist. Having worked in this internationally renowned firm from 1968 to 1980, starting as an Assistant Designer and resigning (to set up his practice) as a Senior Associate / Director in charge of the Hong Kong firm.In 1980 he embarked on setting up his own firm together with his present partner Don Siembieda, with an office in Hong Kong, with only two projects – The Regent of Hong Kong (later Four Seasons and now The Intercontinental) and Sydney, today acclaimed as two of the best hotels in the world. Since then, of course, many international and award winning projects have been designed by their firm. Other Associate offices are located in Shanghai and Nanjing (China). It would be worth noting here that Chandu Chhada is the only known Indian who, in his career has worked on over 100 international hotels. Some of the award winning hotels he and his firm have worked on include, The Regent Hong Kong, The Regent Sydney, The Oberoi Bombay, The Imperial, New Delhi, Ananda In the Himalayas ( now rated as the best destination spa in the world by Conde Nast - 2005) The Kahala Hilton, and The Four Seasons, New York and,many more.
Today his firm Chhada, Siembieda & Associates, is rated as one of the leading hotel design firms in the world and, till this day Mr. Chhada is on the drawing board creating deluxe world class hotels.
