Co-founder Exec. Director of BioRegional / One-Planet-Living UK & China.Bioregional develops practical solutions for sustainability, working in the fields of new and existing communities and production and supply systems. BioRegional are the environmental organisation behind the BedZED eco-village where the organisation is based.Currently working with China Merchants Property Development Company on a mixed-use 5000 residential community in Guangzhou.At BioRegional Sue has pioneered projects on sustainable paper production including leading a team to develop clean technology for small scale paper pulping which will be able to make paper from local materials such as straw. Sue co-authored a book with co-founder Pooran Desai about BioRegional's projects and approach entitled "BioRegional Solutions". She is a co-founding director of "One Planet Living" a global initiative based on ten principles of sustainability developed by BioRegional and WWF. As part of this initiative, BioRegional are leading on the development of exemplary One Planet Living communities and projects in the UK and around the world working with local partners from China to the USA. As a member of the Mayor’s London Sustainable Development Commission, Sue has worked on setting targets for reducing London's CO2 emissions and the London 2012 Olympic bid.BioRegional subsequently wrote the London 2012 Bid sustainability strategy "One Planet Olympics" working with WWF and London 2012. Sue and her team continue to support the development and implementation of the post bid strategy "Towards a one planet 2012".
